Install

   Close Sierra Chart

   Fully exit, not just the chart window. While it runs it holds study files open and Windows will refuse to write the file.

   Find your Sierra Chart Data folder

   It sits inside your installation folder. If you have never changed it: C:\SierraChart\Data\ Not sure? In Sierra Chart, Global Settings › General Settings › Paths shows the Data Files Folder.

   Unzip, then copy the file in

   Open the ZIP you downloaded and put PositionSizeCalculatorStandard_64.dll or PositionSizeCalculatorPro_64.dll directly into that folder. No subfolder, and do not rename it: Sierra Chart finds studies by scanning this folder for DLLs. Pro buyers get both files and can install either or both; they work side by side.

   Start Sierra Chart and open a chart

   Any symbol and bar period. The study loads automatically at startup.

   Add the study

   Analysis › Studies… › Position Size Calculator or Position Size Calculator Pro › Add › OK. The box appears on the current bar with its buttons underneath.

   Check one setting

   Chart › Chart Settings › Symbol › Currency Value Per Tick. Every dollar figure the study shows runs through it, so a value borrowed from a different contract puts every number off by the same factor.

If something is off

Sierra Chart says the study needs a newer version

Your Sierra Chart is older than 2941. Help › Download Current Version, let it install, start it again. Free, and it keeps your charts and settings.

The study is not in the Studies list

The file is in a subfolder, was renamed, or was copied while Sierra Chart was running. Close Sierra Chart, put the DLL directly in the Data folder under its original name, start again.

Every dollar figure is off by the same factor

Chart › Chart Settings › Symbol › Currency Value Per Tick belongs to a different contract, usually the full-size when you trade the micro. Fix it there, or set the study's own override input.

I want two copies on one chart

The two editions are built to share a chart; two copies of the same edition are not. One box is meant to be moved and reused. If you need it anyway, give the second copy a Drawing Line Number Base at least 180 above the first (791000 works), and add it only after the first has been moved away from the last bar, or the two will sit on top of each other and answer the same click.
