Privacy

This site sells two files and hosts their documentation. It collects the minimum needed to do that. The data controller is 10868582 CANADA INC.

What is collected

• When you buy: Stripe, acting as merchant of record through its Link service, collects your email address, name, billing address and payment details on its own secure pages and issues the receipt. We never receive your card number. Stripe passes us your email address, name, country, the product bought and the amount paid, and keeps its own records under its privacy policy. You can ask Stripe to delete your Link purchase data through Link support.
• When you download: the download link is a signed token containing your Stripe order reference. Nothing is logged about the download beyond standard server logs.
• When you use the contact form or the recovery page: the name, email and message you type are emailed to us. The recovery page only ever sends links to the email Stripe has on record.
• When you visit: the web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page, time, browser) for a short period, for security and debugging only. We also count visits ourselves, so we know whether anyone is reading the site: the page you opened, the site that linked you here, your browser's timezone and language, and whether you are on a phone or a computer. Your IP address is not stored. It is turned into a one-way hash, with a secret that changes every night, purely so that opening five pages counts as one visitor rather than five. That hash cannot be reversed and cannot be matched to the next day's. No analytics company is involved and nothing leaves our server.

How it is used

To deliver the file you bought, send you the download email and any update or fix, answer your messages, and keep the accounting records the law requires. Nothing is sold, shared for marketing, or used to build a profile. There is no newsletter unless you ask for one in writing.

Where it lives and for how long

Order records live in Stripe. Emails live in our mailbox. Neither is kept in a database of ours. Order and email records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, then deleted. The visit counts described above are kept on our own server as daily totals with no personal data in them.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies on visitors, and the visit counting described above uses none. Stripe's checkout page sets cookies needed to process a payment and prevent fraud. One cookie exists for the site owner's own password-protected page; you will never be given it.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to its use, through the contact form. We answer within 30 days. Where records must be kept by law we will tell you so.

The software itself

PSC runs inside Sierra Chart on your computer. It makes no network connections and sends nothing to us or anyone else.
